Transparency
With the aim of increasing transparency, and because the consortium believes that transparency is particularly important in this area of addictions and governance science, ALICE RAP collects conflict of interest statements from the project participants with regard to the following criteria:
Receipt of any funds or grants (in cash or in kind), including travel funds, since 1st January 2009, received personally from a commercial organisation (or related Foundation, Institute, Corporate Social Responsibility Organisation), including:
- a pharmaceutical company when the funds are related to treatment for drug use disorders (including alcohol and tobacco) and gambling or gaming disorders,
- a for profit health care institution or organization, including a private hospital or clinic when the funds are related to treatment for drug use disorders (including alcohol and tobacco) and gambling or gaming disorders,
- alcohol and tobacco producer, distributor and retail companies,
- gambling and gaming companies,
- government monopolies and government institutions which provide addictive products or industries (e.g., alcohol, tobacco or gambling),
- any monies received from the illicit drug market,
- social aspect or similar organisations that receive their primary support from these sources.
